The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports a small tsunami was generated by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Guatemala earlier this morning, but nothing to get too excited about.
The center sent out this alert a few minutes ago:
“Waves were measured at 2.5 inches in Central America. There may be small surges in the water; swimmers should exercise caution but there will be no restriction and no evacuation of beaches and shorelines.”
