The purpose of this Joint State and City briefing are to address Disaster Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Resiliency, in the light of the recent tsunami warnings and evacuations in Hawaii and the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy that devastated the northeastern United States.
The briefing will be co-chaired by Senator Will Espero and Representative Henry Aquino, the current chair of their respective Senate and House Public Safety committees, and Councilman Nestor Garcia, chair, City and County of Honolulu Council Committee on Public Safety.
