The former Honolulu managing director added another $75,000 to his coffers, bringing his total receipts to more than $1.6 million.
His opponent, former Hawaii Gov. Ben Cayetano, hasn’t yet filed his late contribution report. But as of last week, Cayetano had raised just over $1.3 million.
Both totals for Caldwell and Cayetano include loans the candidates gave their campaigns.
As has been the case this entire election season, Caldwell received his money from business and labor groups.
Today is the last day for candidates to report any late political contributions to their campaigns. The next reporting deadline is Dec. 6.
