Sirens will be tested at Kuliouou Park, Moanalua Valley, Ewa Beach Elementary and Ewa Beach Shopping Center between 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sirens at Ala Wai Boat Harbor will sound between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Hawaii News Now reports that the 30-second tests will help Civil Defense officials determine whether the sirens are fully operational:
Oahu residents may call State Civil Defense at 733-4300 if they have any questions or concerns regarding this test of the Statewide Outdoor Siren Warning System. Updates on further testing will be given the afternoon prior to the identified testing day.
