This just in: President Barack Obama will today sign the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act that Congress passed earlier this month. Sen. Daniel Akaka pushed for the bill for years and celebrated its passage on Nov. 14.
Akaka will be at the bill signing ceremony, according to his staff, but it’s closed to the press so I can’t be there. Look for a statement and an official White House photo later today.
For more about the bill, read this Washington Post column.
