President Barack Obama rounded out his endorsements of Hawaii’s Democratic slate of federal candidates with a statement released Monday by Colleen Hanabusa‘s campaign.

“Our nation is at a turning point. We can choose to strengthen our economy or turn back the clock. In order to keep America moving forward, I need your help to send Colleen Hanabusa back to Congress. Her values are Hawaii’s values. Colleen will continue to fight for our hard working families and create jobs here in the islands. She will protect Medicare for our seniors and improve education for our students. Hawaii needs Colleen in Congress, and I need her in Washington.”

He had previously backed Mazie Hirono (in a radio ad) and Tulsi Gabbard as well.

And just in case you were wondering, the president did not weigh in on the Honolulu rail project or the mayor’s race, despite some suggestions to the contrary.
