Guy Toyama, the president and CEO of H2 Technologies, a renewable fuels developer in Hawaii, collapsed and died after a race on Saturday. He was training for the Honolulu Marathon.
Toyama, who was 42, was also the executive director of Friends of NELHA (Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii). Hawaii News Now has this report:
Friends say Toyama collapsed Saturday evening after running in the 42nd annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival fun run (1 mile run).
He was taken to the Kona Community Hospital and later flown to the Queens Medical Center on Oahu where he died Monday morning.
