The meeting, taking place at Ward Warehouse, includes party members Skyping and phoning in from the neighbor islands. The SCC is expected to act quickly to forward the appointment recommendations to Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who may make a final decision as early as today.
Earlier, the SCC heard 2-minute presentations from 13 of the 14 people who applied for the job, including Brian Schatz, Ed Case, Tulsi Gabbard, Donna Mercado Kim, Will Espero, Esther Kiaaina and Tony Gill. Colleen Hanabusa, who was flying back to D.C., sent a video message.
