Home prices in Hawaii were 13.2 percent higher in October, when distressed sales were included, compared to October 2011, which was second to Arizona, which had price appreciation of 21.3 percent in October. Prices rose 7.9 percent in October on Oahu, where the median price rose to $625,000 from $579,000 in October 2011, according to the Honolulu Board of Realtors.
