KHON reports: 

The Honolulu City Council approved a resolution that would allow the development to be one of the tallest buildings in Waikiki. 

Currently the property parcels in Waikiki where the new 2121 Kuhio Avenue is planning to be built is a vacant. …

The proposed condo-hotel could have more than 450 units and is expected to be one of the tallest buildings in Waikiki.

Now that the council has OK’d the development’s height, it’s up to the Department of Planning and Permitting to approve or deny the project.
