President Obama’s approval ratings are highest in the District of Columbia, Hawaii and Vermont, while his approval ratings are lowest in Utah, Wyoming and Alaska, according to a new poll.

The Gallup poll released Monday found Obama’s approval is highest in the District of Columbia, at 82.4 percent, followed by his native state of Hawaii, with 64.2 percent. In third place is Vermont, with 59.1 percent. 

The poll’s findings for states with the highest approval ratings for Obama in 2012 are similar to the survey’s findings in 2011. …
