Beware brown ocean water after the rain. Our landblog has this report:
Hawaii’s Department of Health is warning Oahu residents to stay out of flood waters, storm water runoff and even coastal waters that appear brown:
A Brown Water Advisory is being issued for the island of Oahu due to heavy rains. The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris. If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out.The advisory was issued Sunday.
Meanwhile, there were two sewage spills this weekend that flowed into Kalihi Stream.
