It’s a surreal moment

Inside the Hawaii House of Representatives, the McKinley High School Chorus sings “Danny Boy” and “Stand By Me” to honor the late Sen. Dan Inouye. He was a McKinley alum.

Out in the Capitol rotunda, hundreds of angry protesters — many of them Native Hawaiians — march and chant anti-GMO slogans. Walter Ritte of Molokai is among them.
