The University of Hawaii has announced a three-day symposium featuring scholars from China, Korea, Japan, Turkey, Guam, Palau, and the U.S. to remember the life and work of the late law professor Jon M. Van Dyke.
Van Dyke died at age 68 of a heart attack in November 2011.
The conference, titled “He Hali’a Aloha No Jon — Memories of ‘Aloha for Jon’,” opens Wednesday, Jan. 30, and is free and open to the public.
