A dolphin entangled in fishing wire asked a local diver for help, KHON reports

Keller Laros was able to cut the dolphin loose:

“And the dolphin just swam right up to me,” Laros said. “I tried to get the fishing hook out of the pectoral fin, it was a really small fishing hook. I was able to pluck that out and I realized the fishing line was pretty sharp and was cutting the dolphin’s fin.”

Laros frees the marine mammal from the hook and tangled fishing line while it leans on his hand patiently looking him in the eye.

“The dolphin was literally moving his body so it would help me get the fishing line out,” Laros said.
