House Bill 1100 would allow a property owner or renter that has applied a wheel boot to an unattended car charge the vehicle owner up to $25 to unlock the boot.

The definition of “wheel boot” includes a tire lock, Denver boot, wheel clamp or wheel immobilizer.

HB 1100, sponsored by Rep. Ryan Yamane and four others, has a hearing in House Transportation Wednesday (Feb. 6).
