House Bill 688 does this:

Provides state and county entities and employees immunity from liability for any injuries from electrical shock sustained by a person who commits or attempts to commit copper theft of state or county property.

Hawaii copper thefts have been commonplace in recent years.

HB 688, sponsored by House Reps. Ryan Yamane, Henry Aquino and Ty Cullen, has a hearing Tuesday (Feb. 26) in House Judiciary.
