Bill: Require Fiber Optic Cable In New Buildings

That’s what Senate Bill 1236 calls for. Specifically:

Requires installation of fiber optic cable systems in new single-family, duplex, condominium, and apartment dwellings.

SB 1236, sponsored by Sen. Glenn Wakai, has a hearing Wednesday (Feb. 27) before three Senate committees.
