That’s the aim of a petition being put together to deliver to Hawaii Senate President Donna Mercado Kim this week.

The petition reads in part, “Sen. Malama Solomon has capriciously refused to hear SB1, the repeal of the PLDC. Sen Solomon is stubbornly blocking the will of the people …

“Sen Solomon is responsible for giving you the bad advice to appoint a Monsanto Lobbyist to the Water Commission nominating board.

“Sen Solomon, in a childish display of “gotcha” has mislead her constituents by telling them she’s going to hear a repeal the PLDC bill, but instead offering a gut and replace of SB707 to have a poison pill in it so that it will be voted down.

“Sen Solomon is temperamentally and ethically unsuited to run a Senate committee. … “

The petition is being coordinated by Maui Democrat Karen Chun. Those who have signed it include Michelle S. Matson, Scott Foster, Ann Freed and Mahina Martin.
