The Abercrombie administration has released more than $46.39 million for various capital improvement projects across Hawaii, “including investments required to qualify for federal funding toward state projects.” 

According to a press release, “Allotment of funds for the following priority projects, identified by members of the state Legislature, has been approved by the Governor.”

The projects include:

• $14 million — Public Facilities and Sites, statewide – Design and construction for various repair and alteration projects.

• $3.1 million — Wastewater Treatment Revolving Funds for Pollution Control, statewide.

• $2.7 million — Safe Drinking Water Revolving Fund, statewide.

• $2.3 million — Lump Sum CIP for Department of Defense.

• $1.1 million — Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, Kauai.

• $7 million — Kalihi Valley Homes, Oahu.

• $5 million — Maui Veterans Cemetery, Maui.
