A Monk Seal Doctor’s Inside Story
In case you’re not a regular follower of NOAA’s Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center Blog, here’s an interesting post by Dr. Michelle Barbieri, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s monk seal health program.
Barbieri describes a recent house call to Kauai to help a young monk seal in need of someone pulling a large fish hook from her mouth where it had jammed.
