Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell nominated Donna Y.L. Leong to be the city’s top attorney and take over the department of Corporation Counsel.
Leong is the senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary for Outrigger Enterprises Group. Prior to that she was a partner at Cades Schutte, LLP.
She also worked as a deputy in Honolulu’s Corporation Counsel department.
Caldwell has taken his time filling certain positions in his cabinet. He still has yet to name a permanent head of Budget and Fiscal Services.
