A comet discovered by a Haleakala telescope in 2011 is expected to become visible to the naked eye from Hawaii in March, and the Institute for Astronomy of the University of Hawaii at Manoa is holding a free public viewing tomorrow night.

The comet viewing will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, March 12, Magic Island picnic area 36. The viewing will be followed by star gazing.

Check out the IFA press release for more information including sky maps.
