Honolulu City Councilman Ikaika Anderson and his colleagues gave state officials fair warning Thursday that they’re not to be trifled with.
The council passed a resolution saying the state better come to city before developing underused school properties on city-owned land.
If that doesn’t happen, Anderson said he’d urge the city to take the state to court, according to a KITV news report.
Although state lawmakers say there’s a provision that would make the state work with counties, it seems like there’s still a disconnect.
A lack of communication, perhaps?
