HPD Investigating Suspicious Package in Waikiki
An unattended bag was found this afternoon at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
The area has been evacuated, and HPD is at the scene.
The alert comes one day after a suspicious package was found near Circuit Court in Honolulu, prompting the closure of Halekauwila Street near Punchbowl. That package, however, was deemed safe after police detonated it.
