The former Hawaii State Ethics Commission‘s executive director is calling for his successor’s resignation.

The commission will consider Dan Mollway‘s request to terminate Les Kondo at its meeting Wednesday.

Mollway sent the commission a nine-page letter March 27 detailing the reasons he thinks the current director is unfit for the job — primarily Kondo’s testimony this year before the Legislature. Read the full letter here.

Kondo, who said he considers the accusations serious, requested Mollway’s presence at the commission’s meeting next week to answer any questions.

Mollway said he doesn’t plan to attend and that his letter speaks for itself.
