Yet another Honolulu force main break has caused raw sewage to dump into the ocean.

According to the city’s Department of Environmental Services, over 1,000 gallons of raw, untreated sewage spilled into a storm drain that empties near Ko Olina.

Ko Olina is a popular tourist destination on the west side of Oahu that features the Aulani Disney Resort & Spa.

The city’s sewer system is in a state of disrepair. Capacity is a constant issue and sewage spills are common.

This particular spill was reported at 9:10 p.m. Thursday and was stopped at 11:30 p.m.

State officials have been notified of the spill and the city said it would post warning signs.
