The council said the economy will continue to grow at the same rate, 6.7 percent, that predicted at its last meeting through June 30. But the economy will actually grow faster than it had thought for the next two years at 7.4 percent and 6.8 percent, respectively.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie and House Finance Chair Sylvia Luke touted the news in separate statements Tuesday afternoon.
