After the Boston Marathon bombing, everyone’s being extra careful about suspicious packages — including a man found with bomb literature and a modified pressure cooker at the Hilo airport. KHON has this report:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation detained a man who was trying to fly out of Hilo and have questioned him.
A pressure cooker was used in the Boston Marathon bombings last month, so it raised a red flag.
The FBI says it was found while Transportation Security Administration workers conducted their standard screening. …
FBI Special Agent Tom Simon points out that there were no actual explosives in the luggage or on the passenger, and that the FBI does not believe that this incident poses any immediate threat to civil aviation based on their limited investigation.
