NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday that there is interest in having the Pro Bowl on the mainland in 2015.
“There is interest in potentially bringing it back to the mainland in multiple sites as early as the following year,” said Goodell.

Goodell did confirm that the 2014 Pro Bowl in Honolulu will be played a week before the Super Bowl.
“We think that that works well from season standpoint and finishing the season on a high note with the Super Bowl,” said Goodell. …
Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, issued this statement Tuesday afternoon: “We are having ongoing discussions with the NFL and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship.”
