A 12-member jury has been selected in the case involving a federal agent who killed a Kailua man after an argument in a Waikiki McDonald’s.

Christopher Deedy, a special agent in the U.S. State Department, was in Honolulu in 2011 as part of a security detail for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit when he shot and killed 24-year-old Kollin Elderts.

Deedy, who lives in Virginia, is now standing trial in First Circuit Court in Honolulu.

The jury consists of nine men and three women. There are four alternates.
