From a press release Thursday (May 9):

The Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission announces the launch of its newly revamped website today. The focus of the new website was to simplify and consolidate. You will notice that this was accomplished by incorporating much of the same information from our previous website into the new website but in a more organized manner. We have also added the following new information worth checking out:

• The Commission’s updated 2013-2018 Strategic Plan approved by the Commission on May 8, 2013.

• The Commission’s searchable database of campaign spending data filed by candidate committees and noncandidate committees.

• Also in keeping with the Commission’s mission of transparency, a main focal point of our website continues to be the ability by the public to view reports and fundraiser notices filed by candidate committees and noncandidate committees.

We would like to thank Bryce Fujii and Jennifer Silva from the State’s IT Division for their assistance during the development phase and everyone that helped us preview the website before we launched. …
