Hawaii News Now reports that 15 school children were exposed to pepper spray at Palolo Valley District Park this morning. They were immediately transported to nearby hospitals.

The incident occurred during a presentation by Honolulu police officers inside the park’s gym. An officer noticed children rubbing their eyes and coughing.

Officers later found a pepper spray canister in the bleachers and determined that a kid had triggered it. The pepper spray doesn’t belong to HPD, they said.
