Barely a week after Gov. Neil Abercrombie held a campaign fundraiser at Le Bistro, he has another one set for Wednesday (June 26).

This one, to be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, also requests contributions in the amount of $2,000.

Clearly, the governor hopes to pack his war chest before the June 30 deadline for the next donation reporting cycle. Those reports have to be filed with the Campaign Spending Commission by July 31.

While the governor is yet to draw a challenger in 2014, some folks are whispering that he may face a labor- or enviro-backed opponent in the Democratic primary.
