Rep. Colleen Hanabusa, who seems to be invoking the late Sen. Daniel Inouye at every opportunity as she runs against Sen. Brian Schatz, mentioned him again today. In an email to campaign supporters, she mentioned Inouye’s widow, Irene, and says she recently traveled to Japan with her, “where I had a chance to continue Senator Inouye’s work in meeting with business and government leaders to discuss Hawaii’s increasing role in the Asia Pacific region.”
Hanabusa also attended a ceremony honoring Inouye during the trip.
