Pacific Business News reports that Hawaii Pacific University has laid off between 10 and 25 employees, or 2 percent of its staff, to balance its budget amid shrinking enrollment.
None of the staff were faculty members, according to PBN. HPU is the largest private university in the state and employs about 260 faculty members.
Enrollment has dwindled from a peak of 8,000 students to 7,500 students, PBN reports.
