Three University of Mumbai officials are visiting Kapiolani Community College and the University of Hawaii at Manoa next week to meet with administrators and government leaders and discuss an effort to build a similar community college model at the Mumbai institution.
The initiative is part of a joint Obama-Singh grant proposal and aims to establish 10,000 community colleges for 500 million students by 2030.
The Mumbai delegation will engage in a variety of activities while here, including tours of KCC’s hotel operations and management, culinary arts, health sciences and business programs.
