Following on the heels of a report identifying the Aloha State as the worst place to do business in the country, CNBC now has a report saying we’re also the most expensive state to live in. Check out these metrics:
Avg. Home Price (Honolulu Metro): $742,166
Half Gallon of Milk: $3.41
Pound of Ground Beef: $3.99
Monthly Energy Bill: $333.51
Doctor Visit: $101.80
Alaska is the No. 2 most expensive state, followed by Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. The cheapest state is Oklahoma, the Tornado State. (Kidding: It’s actually the Sooner State.)
