Greenwood announced in May that she’s stepping down as president after the summer, two years before her contract expires. In her announcement she indicated she would take a year of unpaid leave and then return to the university as a tenured professor at the medical school.
If and when she starts that position in September 2014, her salary could amount to exactly $293,640 annually, the Board of Regents’ agenda item says.
The median salary of a JABSOM professor is roughly $202,000 according to a university faculty union database. The max salary is listed as slightly more than $292,000, or roughly $1,500 less than Greenwood’s proposed salary.
Greenwood’s presidential salary was $475,000.
