It seems mildly creepy. But even though Sen. Daniel Inouye died last December, the Twitter account @TeamDanInouye has begun tweeting again.
“Please help us elect @ColleenHanabusa to the US Senate. She is a proven leader who fights for #Hawaii with ALOHA,” said a tweet on Sunday.
A spokesman for Inouye’s leadership PAC says DANPAC has nothing to do with it. The twitter account is maintained by volunteer Inouye supporters who used to raise money for the senator, but are now supporting Hanabusa.
Depending on your perspective, the tweets which bear the late senator’s image are a little unusual or a reminder that Inouye had wanted Hanabusa, not Sen. Brian Schatz, to take his place.
