Today, the Schatz for Hawaii campaign has announced that Brian Schatz has been endorsed by the Hawaii American Postal Workers Union (HAPWU) for U.S. Senate. This union, which has over 700 members in state, is the 25th formal endorsement for the Senator. All together, the endorsing unions represent over 70,000 members in Hawaii. …
“The Executive Board of the HAPWU has endorsed Brian Schatz because he shares many of the same concerns, visions and goals that we do, including the importance and need of a six day mail delivery service. Brian Schatz understands that the Postal Service provides a vital service to our nation and especially the unique postal needs of the people in the State of Hawaii,” said Diana Thomas, President of the Hawaii branch of the American Postal Workers Union. …
The Hawaii American Postal Workers Union joins 24 other endorsing organizations, including … Hawaii Government Employees Association … and the University of Hawaii Professional Assembly.
