From a press release Sunday (June 30):

The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UH Mānoa) and the Library of Congress (LOC), based in Washington, D.C., will hold a joint press conference tomorrow, Monday, July 1, 2013, at10:30 a.m. at the Hamilton Library Sunny Alcove about the establishment of the Daniel K. Inouye Project.

This agreement will honor the late U.S. Senator Inouye’s lifework by providing for the digital exchange of content from the Inouye Congressional Papers between UH Mānoa and the LOC, as well as collaboration on projects that promote public understanding of U.S. history and government.

Among the dignitaries scheduled to attend the press conference are Senator Inouye’s wife, Irene; Senator Inouye’s son, Ken; and Mark Sweeney, the Director of Preservation at the Library of Congress. …
