U.S. State Department special agent Christopher Deedy is on the witness stand talking about the training he received as a law enforcement officer.

Deedy is charged with second degree murder for shooting and killing Kailua resident Kollin Elderts in a Waikiki McDonald’s on Nov. 5, 2011.

The federal agent, who was in Honolulu as part of a security detail for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, has claimed self defense.
