State House and Senate health committees will convene Monday at 9 a.m. (Aug. 5) at the state Capitol “to receive an update from the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation on their Electronic Medical Records system, search for new CEO, plans/timeline for bringing on new board members, plans for partnerships and to discuss the budget and contingency plans for 2014.”
The HHSC board of directors, acting president and CEO Avery Chumbley and Dr. Ramsey Hasan, HHSC’s chief medical officer, have been “invited to participate.”
Bruce Anderson, the former CEO, was ousted by the board last month over disagreements with proposals from Arizona-based Banner Health to take over some of the hospitals in the system.
