After a full day of deliberations there’s still no verdict in the Christopher Deedy murder trial.

The federal agent is charged with second degree murder after he shot and killed 23-year-old Kailua resident Kollin Elderts on Nov. 5, 2011.

Closing arguments were last week.

Deedy was in Honolulu as part of a U.S. Secretary of State diplomatic security detail for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

He says when he shot Elderts in a Waikiki McDonald’s that he was acting in self defense and as a law enforcement officer.

Jurors will resume deliberations at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
