The group that nominates candidates to serve on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents says it will be moving fast to fill an unexpected vacancy.

Thomas Ramsey, the Regents Candidate Advisory Council chair, said Friday that there will be a special recruitment to fill the seat of Eric Martinson, who resigned this week for personal reasons.

A UH release says the council will “expeditiously work to provide Gov. Neil Abercrombie with a list of three finalists so that the current vacancy can be filled in a timely manner.”

The application deadline is Sept. 16. Learn more here
