Sen. Mazie Hirono and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard also reacted to today’s Washington Navy Yard shootings.

Hirono wrote on her Twitter page. “My thoughts are with the Navy Yard workers & first responders, their families & all affected by the #NavyYardShooting”

Gabbard tweeted, “Devastated to hear news of the #NavyYardShooting today. My heart goes out to those affected. For anyone in the area, please stay safe.”

Sen. Brian Schatz also had this to say on his Facebook page:

“Sending my thoughts and prayers to the victims of today’s tragic shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, their families, and first responders.” 

Rep. Colleen Hanabusa also released a statement about the shootings earlier.
