Several schools are hosting free screenings of a documentary exploring food insecurity in Hawaii this week and next. 

The movie, called Seeds of Hope, highlights the efforts of Hawaii farmers and others to expand local agriculture.

About 85-90 percent of Hawaii’s food is imported, according to an October 2012 analysis by the state Department of Business, Economics and Tourism.
