Tonya Taylor, former president of Lanikai Elementary Public Charter School’s Parents Teachers Students Association, has been charged with stealing $50,574 of the PTSA’s funds.

State Attorney General David Louie announced that a two-count complaint was filed today in First Circuit Court, one for theft in the first degree and one for money laundering.

The complaint alleges that Taylor laundered the proceeds of the money.

Taylor is set to appear in court Nov. 4.
