Loretta Fuddy, director of the Hawaii Department of Health, told the Senate Judiciary and Labor Committee today that there would be no problems should lawmakers legalize same-sex marriage.

“We are ready and prepared to move forward if a bill is enacted,” she said, explaining that it would only take two weeks to set up an application process.

Fuddy asked that the same-sex marriage system be implemented on a Monday “in case there are any glitches.”
